MIMS powered by Automechanika Moscow opens today
MIMS powered by Automechanika Moscow will take place on 25-29 August in Crocus Expo (Pavilion 1).  The event is organised by ITE and Messe Frankfurt Rus.  

The exhibition will feature over 750 companies, including major international and Russian manufacturers and distributors, such as: AKOM, BAW Motor Corporation, Bilight TC, BOR GLASSWORKS AGC, Formula Sveta, GK TADEM, SKAD, ХОРС, ABRO, Banner Batterien, BERG, CONTITECH, Dayco, DENSO, Dukon, Dunfan, ERA S.p.A., Eurasia, Exist, Finwhale, GS GLOBAL, IHR, MAHLE, MAGNETTI MARELLI,MANN+HUMMEL, MUTLU,PISTON,Ravenol Russland, Schaeffler Russland (LUK, FAG, INA), Valeo Service, Ween H&H B.V andZIC.

The exhibition will also present the national and regional pavilions of Italy, Belarus, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, China, Thailand and France.  The latter’s stand will showcase eleven leading French manufacturers: Axon’ Cable SAS, Gillet Outillage/Kamatec, Klaxcar France, Daher CIS, GNFA, SNR Roulements SA, Cinetic Machining, KCEI International, Trucktechnic France, Aubert & Duval, and ACCOR LUBRIFIANTS.

A traditional part of the exhibition is the national pavilion of Germany, which will present the following companies: IMS, Flennor, MEKRA Lang, Bergkraft Automotive, SUPLEX, JB GERMANOIL, Hella Gutmann Solutions, IPD, and IKA Industrie-und Kraftfahrzeugausrüstung.

A special feature of the MIMS powered by Automechanika Moscow exhibition is the comprehensive business programme.  The International Forum for Automotive Manufacturing and Development of the Automotive Components Market in Russia will take place on 25-27 August.  The forum will be attended by Sergei Shishkarev, Chairman of the State Duma Committee for Transport; Sergei Sobko,  Chairman of the State Duma Committee for Industry; Petr Katsyv, Minister of Transport of Moscow Region; and Frank Schauff, Chief Executive Office of the Association of European Businesses.

The participants will discuss current topics, such as the integration of Russia into the global automotive market and strategies for developing automotive clusters in Russia.  The section devoted to the Volga Automotive Cluster will be attended by Alexei Kubrin, Deputy Presidential Envoy to the Volga Federal District; Vildan Zinnurov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of Ulyanovsk Region; Igor Nosov, Deputy General Director for Engagement and Interaction with Residents, JSC Special Economic Zones; and representatives of AvtoVAZ, KAMAZ, Renault and others.

Maxim Akimov, Deputy Governor of the Kaluga Region; Ruslan Zalivatsky, Minister of Economic Development of the Kaluga Region; Igor Elfimov, Deputy Governor of the Yaroslavl Region; and representatives of Volkswagen, Volvo Vostok / Renault Trucks, Michelin and Siemens will participate in a discussion of the issues faced by the Central Automotive Cluster.

The forum is co-organised by the Association of European Businesses (AEB).  Support is provided by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

On 26-28 August, the exhibitors Mehanika and Federal Mogul will host the 3rd "Fastest Mechanic” Open Competition of Professional Skills.  The competition is open to all motor mechanics, regardless of experience, type of business and the region of Russia in which they live and work. 

The task is to correctly take apart and reassemble a VAZ 21083 cylinder box as quickly as possible.  A professional jury will evaluate not only the speed, but also the level of skill, as errors will incur penalty seconds.

All the participants will receive certificates and gifts from Federal Mogul, and the winners will receive prizes: a scooter, television and video camera.

The qualifying rounds will take place on 26 and 27 August, and the 15 fastest mechanics will compete in the final on 28 August.

For the first time at the exhibition you will be able to obtain professional advice on trademark protection from the consulting firm Rödl & Partner.

This year, the General Sponsor of the exhibition is TM WEEN.  The company designs, develops and markets TM WEEN car parts, together with Toyota Tsusho Corporation.  Under the WEEN brand, the company produces spark plugs, brake pads, filters, windscreen wipers, shock absorbers and much more.
