Kazakhstan International Tourism & Travel Fair
KITF 2010, the 10th Anniversary Kazakhstan International Tourism & Travel Fair, will take place in pavilions 10 and 11 of the Atakent Exhibition Centre in Almaty on 21-23 April. The exhibition is organised by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan, Almaty City Administration, Iteca (Kazakhstan) and ITE Group Plc (UK).
Since its launch, the number of exhibitors at KITF has increased nine-fold and the total exhibition area 27-fold: from 300m² in the Ankara hotel (now the InterContinental Almaty) to 8000m² in the modern Atakent Exhibition Centre. At the same time, a separate pavilion is devoted to national tourism organisations, where a central position is occupied by the stand of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan, and regional tourism offices.
KITF 2010 will bring together about 500 companies from 36 countries. The interest in the event from many international companies and organisations once again confirms the strengthening of Kazakhstan’s positive image abroad and its involvement in the global tourism industry. Sixteen national tourism organisations plan to participate in Kazakhstan’s main international travel show. This year, the exhibition will feature the national stands of China, Czech Republic, Georgia, Greece, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Poland, Slovakia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Thailand, Turkey and UAE.
